The Italian robot and automation industry is the largest in Europe
According to a report by HowToRobot and Ucima, Italy is the leader in Europe for suppliers of automation and robotics solutions with 655 companies registered (of which 70% are integrators) compared to 628 and 540 companies registered respectively in France and Germany . Driving adoption are the growth of non-automotive installations, the use of automation and robotics solutions (including by SMEs) in response to labor shortages, the need for greater productivity and the centralization of logistics.
Italy is a leader in Europe for companies that provide automation and robotics solutions, ahead of France and Germany: this is what emerges from the latest HowToRobot report, created in collaboration with the Italian Association of Packaging Machine Manufacturers, Ucima .
“Italy is among the leaders in the supply and adoption of robotics and automation thanks to its large, diverse and mature automation industry. With the growing global need for robust and proven automation solutions, Italy has a lot to offer,” says Søren Peters, CEO of HowToRobot.
Robotics and automation, the numbers of the Italian market
The report, entitled “Market Analysis of Robot and Automation Firms in Italy 2023”, provides a snapshot of the Italian market, made up of 655 companies operating in the supply of automation and robotics solutions. A number that places Italy at the top of the European ranking: in France, in fact, the companies registered are 628, while in Germany they stand at 540.
