Nordmeccanica launches the first multiple packaging machine that reduces consumption by 80%

Made in Italy – packaging

From Nordmeccanica, one of the main manufacturers of machines for the production of bags for packaged foods, plastic packaging and pharmaceutical blisters, comes the first machine in the world capable of managing multiple operating modes for flexible packaging in food packaging.

The “Nordmeccanica Triplex one shot” can assemble 2 or 3 films in a single pass, does not use solvents and reduces electricity consumption by 80% and processing times and waste by 50%. The machine is 20 meters long.

The innovative Nordmeccanica machine contains and exploits technologies that were previously the prerogative of dedicated devices: this led to rigidity of use and above all high operating costs. Despite the cancellation of the main trade fair in the sector (Drupa, in Dusseldorf), the company (which has five production plants, three of which in Italy) has decided to present its latest innovation live, showing it in operation.

Nordmeccanica’s “Triplex one shot” machine offers the possibility of assembling both three layers of flexible packaging material such as plastic films, paper and aluminum and only two (lamination: plastic and aluminium) and uses special fast-acting Symbiex type adhesives. polymerization without the use of solvents, developed by Dow Chemical in collaboration with Nordmeccanica itself.

“The new machine allows us to always stay one step ahead of the competition because it offers maximum operational flexibility, reduces energy consumption, eliminates the use of solvents, and therefore any emissions harmful to the environment, and integrates Internet technology of things”
